Uniform

We have a simple school uniform to ensure the children are smart and tidy and wear suitable clothing for school.  Branded school uniform and book bags/PE bags with our logo may be purchased online from Saffron Apparel via https://webshops.saffronapparel.co.uk/radwinter-primary-3-c.asp.  Please ensure all items of clothing that come to school are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Boys:     Grey trousers or shorts

              White polo shirt

              Blue sweatshirt with school logo

              Black sensible shoes

              Black or grey socks

Girls:      Grey skirt or trousers

               White polo shirt

               Summer dress - Dark blue gingham

               Blue sweatshirt/cardigan  with school logo

               Black sensible shoes (no open-toed sandals)

               Black/grey/white socks or tights 

PE:         Blue polo shirt with school logo

               Navy blue shorts or school football shorts

               Plimsolls/trainers

               Plain, dark coloured tracksuit in winter

Shoes:

All pupils should wear plain black shoes, not trainers.

Please note - open-toed sandals are not allowed for health and safety reasons.   

Coats:

Please make sure in colder weather your child brings a coat to school.

Haircuts:

Strictly no hair dye or shaved symbols into hair. Shoulder-length or longer hair should be tied up for health and safety reasons. Please ensure hairbands and hairclips are reasonable and not a distraction for the children.

Other:

No makeup, nail varnish or tattoo transfers please.

Jewellery:

No jewellery other than a watch and one plain stud earring in each earlobe is acceptable.

Earrings are to be removed prior to PE/sport.  If your child is unable to remove their own earrings they should not be worn to school on that day.  In view of this, if your child is having their ears pierced, this should only be done at the beginning of  the summer holidays please. 

Please do not allow your child to wear expensive watches or fitness trackers as these could get lost or damaged.  Watches with cameras are not permitted in school at any time.  

Help With Uniform Costs

Any families in receipt of Pupil Premium funding are entitled to one set of uniform per academic year.  Please contact the School Office to check if you are eligible or for further information.

Our school PTA regularly run second-hand uniform sales where clothes and shoes can be purchased for a donation.  Check the newsletter or contact pta@radwinter.essex.sch.uk for details for the next event.
