We were incredibly proud to have raised a grand total of £2,000 at our recent Race for Life event which was held on the village recreation ground. Our Year 6 children competed in a dogeball tournament at SWCHS last week. All of the teams competed in a first round to determine their groups and then played against the other teams in their group. Radwinter Blue came joint 1st in Group 2 and Radwinter Red finished in 5th place.
We have recently played in two fixtures against St Thomas More. Both matches were very close and our children should be incredibly proud of their performance. We lost our tag rugby game by 23 - 17 points and our football match by 3 goals to 1. We are looking forward to some more fixtures next term, when we hope to do even better!
Despite the inclement weather, Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their golf tournament on Thursday at Saffron Walden golf club against St Thomas More. The event was a culmination of a series of lessons from golf professional, Sarah Smith and gave them the opportunity to practise the skills they have learnt over the past few weeks. They were especially pleased to be the winners beating their opponents by 100 points!
Our boys were delighted to come joint first in their group at the recent football tournament, narrowly missing out on the finals on goal difference.
Our girls team played extremely well and thoroughly enjoyed the tournament.
The grils football festival was the ideal opportuntity to learn skills for the football tournament.
Kingfisher girls all enjoyed the football festival where they learnt skills and played in mini matches.
We are incredibly proud to have been awarded the Sportsmark Gold award for the 5th consecutive year. This is a highly prestigous award which reflects our commitment to offering a wide range of sporting opportunities to every child in the school.
