School Values

Vision

Growing and learning together to embrace life in all its fullness

John 10:10 ‘I came to give life – Life in all its fullness’.

In the life of our school, this means that we provide a caring, happy and secure environment where every child feels valued and can flourish.  It reflects a Christian understanding that God’s love is for everyone recognising that every child has individual talents, needs and a worthy contribution to make.

Our Christian vision is lived out in our values of fairness, forgiveness, kindness, respect and service which are rooted in the teaching of Jesus and underpin everything we do.  By instilling these values in our children, they are able to embrace life in all its fullness looking upwards, outwards and inwards drawing on these values to guide them.

Within our school community our guiding values are:

Fairness

We learn that God loves each and every one of us and treats us in a fair and just way. We are encouraged to treat each other with the fairness he has shown to us and to be inclusive of everyone.

"Be just and fair to all," says the LORD (Isaiah 56:1)

Forgiveness

We learn that we all make mistakes but are encouraged that, just as God forgives us, we should forgive others.

Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us" (Luke 11:4)

Kindness

We are encouraged to care for and show kindness towards each other.

"Be kind to one another" (Ephesians 4:32)

Respect

We are taught that we are all individual and unique and are encouraged to respect and value the differences in others.

"Show proper respect to everyone" (1 Peter 2:17 NIV)

"However you want people to treat you, so treat them" (Matthew 7:12)

Service

We believe that we all have individual gifts and talents which we can use to help others. We are encouraged to think of and support others in all we do.

"Serve one another in love" (Galatians 5:13)

"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others" (1 Peter 4:10)
